I found this butterfly, while it was resting in the grass in the afternoon. I took this photograph hand-held with my Sigma 105.0 mm. I used a delicate ring flash mounted on my lens to get rid of shadows.
The Large Copper is a butterfly listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as NEAR THREATENED:
