Macro Photography : Red dragonfly by mmeida

It is one of my favorite insects, not only for its fascinating nature and characteristics, but also because they are of the few able to maintain a special relationship with the photographer. After the initial shock, usually tend to go back to where took flight, and remain there, as if they were posing, looking without leave to scrutinize carefully around looking for food with wings-. They make all kinds of faces and gestures, and even at times they may seem intelligent, in the sense human gives to the intelligence, since intelligent, like all animals, yes they are. Through macro lens, like a giant magnifying glass, it’s like you were in the presence a friendly dragon with wings …

Es uno de mis insectos preferidos, no solo por su naturaleza y características fascinantes, sino también porque son de los pocos capaces de mantener una relación especial con el fotógrafo. Tras el susto inicial, por lo general suelen volver al lugar de donde emprendieron el vuelo, y permanecen ahí, como si posaran, obervándote detenidamente –sin dejar de escrutar los alrededores en busca de alimento con alas–. Realizan todo tipo de muecas y gestos, y hasta por momentos te podrían parecer inteligentes, en el sentido que le damos a la inteligencia los humanos, pues inteligentes para lo suyo, como todos los animales, sí que son. A través del objetivo macro, como una lupa gigantesca, es como si estuvieras ante un simpático dragón con alas…
